We are looking to fill multiple jobs such as unskilled and skilled laborers, equipment operators, truck drivers, and crew leaders. These roles report to the Director of Operations, Cashiers Construction Corporation.

Candidate Requirements:

Willing & able to perform manual labor including lifting, digging, excavation, trenching, back-filling and work outdoors year-round. Have proper clothes and shoes to work on a construction site

Have driver's license, reliable transportation & insurance, mobile phone, can pass a background check, and can read, write, & communicate in English

Able to listen to/take instruction on various tasks on site, have a good attitude about work, are reliable, come to work on time and consistently
Experienced Candidate Requirements (in addition to above):
- Knowledge of equipment & safety practices to work on a wide variety of machinery such as dozers, track loaders, backhoes, skid steers, trucks, and understand the maintenance for various equipment
- 1+ years heavy equipment experience or similar excavation experience
- Knowledge of job site safety rules & regulations. Able to read blueprints & designs to work to specifications
- Detailed oriented and have the ability to meet deadlines and work well alone or as part of a team
- Able to ensure all work is completed in a safe, prompt, and professional manner
- CAT, NexGen experience and CDL also a plus!
Responsibilities for Experienced Candidates
- Operate various heavy equipment, such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, rollers, backhoes, front-end loader, skid steers, haul trucks, etc.
- Use various pieces of equipment to perform fine grading and finishing, sloping, banking, backfilling, demolition, ditching, loading, excavating, utility trenching / piping and stockpiling
- Perform daily routine inspections on equipment and perform maintenance on equipment such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning
- Awareness of other equipment or sub-contractors working on site, able to coordinate with others
- Safely and productively operate equipment on public roadways
- Inspect equipment before & after use. Write up for needed repairs. Clean up after use and dispose of trash
- Read and understand grade stakes and hubs for grade control and finishing
- Is able to be a customer-facing representative of the company
- Septic installation experiences a plus!
